Cookie Policy

Last updated: 29 July 2026

This page explains, in plain terms, what cookies neguta.info uses, why, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy and is written to comply with Act No. 480/2004 Sb., on Certain Information Society Services, as amended, and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), as applied in the Czech Republic.

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. It can be read again on later visits, which lets a site remember choices, keep you signed in, or, when permitted, understand how pages are used in aggregate.

When you first visit this site, a centered consent window appears, letting you review each cookie category and choose what to allow before any non-essential cookie is set. You can revisit that choice at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link found in the footer of every page.

Necessary cookies do not require consent because they are essential to the basic operation of the site. All other categories below are only set if you actively allow them.

Cookie nameCategoryPurposeDuration
ni_consentNecessaryStores your cookie preference choices so the consent window does not reappear on every visit180 days
ni_sessionNecessaryMaintains basic site functionality such as menu state during a browsing sessionSession (deleted when browser closes)
ni_analytics_idAnalyticsDistinguishes anonymous visits to understand which guides are read, only set with consent12 months
ni_pref_displayPreferencesRemembers small interface choices, such as a dismissed notice, only set with consent6 months
ni_marketing_flagMarketingReserved for potential future use; not currently active even with consentN/A

Necessary cookies cannot be disabled through the consent window because the site would not function correctly without them, such as remembering that you already made a cookie choice. Analytics, preference, and marketing cookies are entirely optional and are only activated after you explicitly select "Accept all" or enable the specific category and select "Save selection."

If you close the consent window by clicking outside it, on the dimmed background area, this is treated the same as selecting only necessary cookies; no analytics, preference, or marketing cookie will be set in that case.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including deleting existing cookies and blocking future ones. Doing so may affect how some parts of this site behave, such as requiring you to reselect cookie preferences on each visit.

We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking technologies on this website. Should this change in the future, this policy will be updated and, where required, renewed consent will be requested.
